1. What is the Next Generation Simple Discovery?

Beyond accessing information with a search engine, which generates a list of relevant information, you now can discover relationships within and between all resources (e.g., books) in a digital collection comprehensively with push of a button.

2. What are the 3 rings in the EvREsearch®® logo?

The three interconnected rings represent the ‘atomic’ elements (content, context and structure) that underlie the meaning of each and every written resource. These rings are in Borromean formation, meaning removing one ring will cause the other two to no longer link to each other. They are indivisible pieces that create a whole.

3. How can I discover with EvREsearch® KnoHow™?

Enter any term or phrase into the discovery box, select the mode of discovery (exact match, any term, all terms) and click on the Discovery green button or hit 'enter.'

4. What can I do with Digital Zoom™?

Automatically expand and collapse levels of content (e.g., books within years or chapters within books) that contain your discovery term or phrase across the entire digital collection.

5. What statistics are displayed below the Digital Zoom™?

Number of instances of your search term or phrase at each level of granularity (ie., year, resource, section, page, paragraph, sentence) throughout the entire digital collection.

6. What can I display with the expandable-collapsible hierarchy (tree)?

In addition to displaying the relationships within and between hierarchical levels, click on any node to display the contents at that level.

7. Where is the display of my discovery term or phrase in the hierarchy (tree)?

At the sentence level.

8. What happens if there are too many results for my discovery term or phrase?

In addition to displaying the relationships within and between hierarchical levels, click on any node to display the contents at that level.

9. What are the "granules" in the .KNO file?

The total number of all sentences, paragraphs, pages, sections, resources and years that have been ‘broken’ from the content, which can be comprehensively integrated with the .Kno file.
